SOME PEOPLE SAY WE ARE CRAZY . . . WE
PROBABLY ARE
CONTRACTS
We don't have them. Simply put, you are NOT bound to anything
with us - you are here because you want to be and that's how we
want it to be. We are over 120 members strong and growing, we don't
need a waiver to keep you, the instructors, classes, and top notch
facilities will do that. All we ask is that you complete a membership
form.
FEES
What you should expect to pay at Southside Dojo?
- $25 Per Month for a dojo membership. Membership gives you access
to all of the martial arts offered at Southside
Dojo (with the exception of Yoga)
- Depending on the martial art that you will be practicing, you
will need to participate in the insurance program that the art
offers. The insurance covers liability and excessive medical costs,
protecting you, the dojo, the instructors, and all the other students.
We have tried to group arts together to reduce insurance costs.
- for Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, or MMA a membership
to USJA costs $40 per year
- for Karate, Kobudo, or Tai Chi insurance costs are around
$60 per year
- All in all if you were to participate in every art you would
pay approximately $100 per year
- Annual dues for a specific art are sometimes required. Check
with the instructors on this when you speak with them - fees are
typically well under $100 annually
- Promotion fees are required and vary widely depending on the
art, but usually start between $10 - $20 for the first promotion.
- Some arts require a uniform otherwise known as a gi. Costs generally
range between $50 and $100. We have some club
accounts which offer discounts to our students or you can
purchase your gi separately online.
